They discuss the work underway in the HSE to promote health and wellbeing under the Health Services Healthy Ireland Implementation Plan. Bernard shares an update on his strategic priorities and reflects on 12 months in the job as CEO as he emphasises the importance of maintaining a shared vision and a positive culture to drive improvements with the patient or service user always to the fore in planning and delivery of health services. He discusses his own quit smoking journey and how the HSE QUIT campaign continues to work towards a Tobacco Free Ireland. He gives an update on the imminent changes and restructuring of the HSE and the six new regional Chief Officers.
