We all make comparisons every day. It is part of being a human.
Comparisons are an important way to make good, informed decisions.
However, we often make competitive comparisons between ourselves and others, in a way that either creates inequality where we are better than, or we are worse than.
In both cases, we put someone up and we put someone down. This creates feelings of enmity, anger, resentment, jealousy and other such things.
