Adam C. Martin is the lead vocalist of Blackbird Anthem. He has worked in law enforcement, as a corrections officer, and served in the military as well. We talk about the power of vulnerability in music and the importance of writing songs that resonate with the human condition. We talk about the challenges and perceptions of being a police officer, the vilification of police officers and the impact it has on their job, and the changing nature of policing and the expectations placed on officers.
