Alright, surfers and beachgoers, it's time to catch those waves along the California coast! Here's your surf forecast for today and tomorrow:
Starting off in Malibu and Los Angeles County Beaches, we have a HIGH SURF ADVISORY in effect from 2 PM this afternoon until 10 AM PDT Saturday. Today, expect a Rip Current Risk to be high, with surf heights ranging from 3 to 5 feet, increasing to 5 to 7 feet in the afternoon. On Saturday, surf heights will be 5 to 7 feet, then dropping to 3 to 5 feet with local sets to 6 feet in the afternoon. Keep an eye out for those West swells!
Venturing over to Ventura County Beaches, we also have a HIGH SURF ADVISORY and HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK. Surf heights will be similar to Malibu, with waves at 3 to 5 feet, building to 5 to 7 feet today. Tomorrow, surf heights will range from 5 to 7 feet, then decreasing to 3 to 5 feet in the afternoon. Another day of West swell ahead!
Moving towards Santa Barbara County, rip currents are at a HIGH RISK along the Southwest and Southeastern coasts. Today, surf heights at West-Facing Beaches will be 3 to 5 feet, while South-Facing Beaches will see 2 to 3 feet waves. Tomorrow, similar surf heights are expected with West swells continuing to roll in.
Lastly, in San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, a HIGH SURF ADVISORY is in place from 2 PM today until 10 AM PDT Saturday. Waves today will be 5 to 8 feet, increasing to 7 to 10 feet by the afternoon. Tomorrow, expect surf heights from 7 to 10 feet, tapering off to 5 to 8 feet later in the day.
