Hey there, surfers and beachgoers! Are you ready to catch some waves and soak up the sun? Well, get those boards waxed and sunblock on because we've got a surf zone forecast just for you!
For the Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches, we've got a high surf advisory in effect through Saturday morning with rip currents running high. Surf heights are ranging from 4 to 7 feet, with local sets up to 8 feet, subsiding to 3 to 6 feet on Saturday. Looks like a West swell is rolling in, so be prepared for some fun waves.
Heading over to Ventura County Beaches, it's more of the same with a high surf advisory and rip currents to watch out for. Surf heights are hitting 4 to 7 feet, with local sets to 8 feet, calming down to 3 to 6 feet on Saturday. Water temperatures are cool at 59 to 61 degrees, so pack your wetsuits!
Down in Santa Barbara County, we have a high rip current risk along the southwestern and southeastern coasts. Surf heights are between 3 to 5 feet, with water temperatures ranging from 57 to 59 degrees. Keep an eye out for the West swell coming through the weekend.
And for San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, we're looking at a high surf advisory through Saturday morning. Surf heights are reaching 7 to 10 feet, dropping to 5 to 8 feet on Saturday. With the water temperature in the low 50s, it's time to break out those thicker wetsuits.
So, get out there and enjoy the waves, but remember to always stay safe and watch out for those rip currents. This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a Swell! Thank you for listening.
