As an emotional and spiritual health coach, my passion is to help people unlock their feel good. Feel good isn't "happy all the time", utopia; instead, I create opportunities for you to find out what your unique "feel good" blueprint is and strategically work toward integrating it into your life. Life is GOING to happen--I can help you be ready for it without losing your feel good. In this episode, I take on trusting our own feelings:

1. External cues are part of being relationship with other humans.

2. Some external cues are used to control you

3. Reframe external cues to honor your needs & emotional health

Bottom line is this: Learning to trust ourselves, instead of relying on external cues to tell us "what" or "how" we feel, is the real work.

2. Writing Prompts Help Us Access Our Emotions: This episode does not include writing prompts examples, but here are a few to try on. Ever heard someone say, "I can't find the words." It's 100% true! In highly charted situations, the "words" part of our brains freezes up. That's why I provide writing prompts to help access the words.

A recent situation that felt ouchy, hard, or challenging was...

I felt...

That reminds me of a time when...

What I needed then was...

But I didn't get it so...

Recalling this, my body feels...

The part of my body where I'm feeling this is...

The feelings coming up now are...

Taking a step back from that story, it makes sense...

One way I can show up for myself is...

Showing up for myself may...

Knowing this, I may be more able to....
