It's been a very emotional and intense time for Shell recently as she discusses what the past few weeks has been like emotionally for her and how she's been coping. One of the common symptoms of ADHD is emotional dysregulation, which refers to difficulties in managing and controlling emotions effectively. Individuals with ADHD may experience heightened emotional reactions, difficulty in self-regulating emotions, and a tendency to have intense emotional responses or sometimes no response at all due to overwhelm and shut down. We also discuss some coping stratergies that can help you manage emotional regulation.
