The words "there is no rush" can be so comforting in a world that constantly diverts your attention away from the present moment. From a trauma-informed perspective, our brains often live in the past which causes depression, or in the future, which causes hypervigilance and constantly living in a state of anxiety.
Neither one engages you in the ONLY state we truly live and feel ALIVE in, which is the present moment.
