Grief can be a tough emotion to process, but it’s something all of us will experience at some point in our lives.

Grief often follows a major life shift, like the loss of a loved one, job change, relationship change, or health challenge - experiences especially common in midlife.

It can be tempting to suppress these uncomfortable emotions, stuff them down and sweep them under the rug. But allowing your emotions to flow, and the lessons that follow are an opportunity for profound personal growth and resilience.

To help us understand and learn how to deal with these complex emotions, I invited Amy Lindner Lesser, grief recovery specialist and certified life transition coach, to join me on this episode.

Amy’s journey into grief counseling started with her own profound experiences, beginning with the loss of her husband, while running a bed and breakfast, and caring for her family,

She discovered the necessity of self-care and the importance of addressing suppressed emotions to cope with the inevitable "life quakes" - big, life-changing events. Through her experiences, she shares powerful practical advice for emotional healing, channeling love and emotions into positive actions, and finding the silver linings in even the most devastating circumstances.

“Feel all your feelings. Grief is normal, it's natural. And it's necessary that we feel grief when we lose someone or something that's important to us.”
-Amy Lindner-Lesser
