Deborah Garlick is the CEO of Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, founder of Henpicked.net, and author of "Menopause: the change for the better." Since 2016, her team has been collaborating with organisations across the UK and internationally to facilitate the introduction of appropriate awareness, education, and support in this crucial area.
In 2023, along with CEO Grace Molloy, she launched Menopause Friendly Australia and launched in the US with partners Midovia, accelerating her mission to make it easier for workplaces worldwide to address menopause effectively.
In 2021, she introduced the Menopause Friendly Membership and Accreditation programme. This membership supports trailblasing employers in achieving Menopause Friendly Accreditation. With hundreds of members, including Accenture, Boots, HSBC UK, BAE Systems, and Leicestershire County Council, and nearly 100 employers who have received the award, Deborah's initiative has had a significant impact on workplace culture.
In September 2022, Deborah introduced the industry-recognised Menopause Friendly Employer Awards to spotlight and celebrate best practices. The event raised £75,000 a year for vital funds for menopause charities and research, furthering awareness and support for this important issue.
